In case you missed it the first time, on March 31 I teased you about Spring Sewing with Fabricville. Here it is again: (click there)
Spring Sewing, a 3-Piece Outfit
My sewing room is my happy place, and this outfit shows the results.
In that post I said I’d share the link to the Fabricville post when it was published. Well, I’m a bit late, but here it is:
My Colourful Sewing Adventure | Fabricville Canadian Sewing Blog link to the post:
I’ve been wearing the Dolman top and the Helene cardigan regularly, and it feels really great. The colour suits me (apparently) and I get some lovely compliments.
As for the pants, I don’t find the fabric comfortable to wear more than a few minutes, so I’ll chalk that one up to having fun sewing.
Sew, pop on over to the Fabricville blog and read all about it. THEN, come on back here and share your thoughts with me.
And now I’m up for more sewing!
I taught lesson #1 of Jalie’s Helene for That Sewing Place Newmarket last Monday, AND I’m heading in a couple of days for a 2-day “Yvette Event”! We’ll be sewing Jalie garments under my supervision, and I’m eager to see which pattern(s) they chose to sew.
I’m also bringing a suitcase with many of my “sews” and will present a seminar called “Fashion Fabric Know-how”. I used to teach that class at the “Creativfestival” back in the “good old days”, and it was always well attended.
want to buy me a tea, coffee or a spool of thread?
My next post will show you how to add width to a set-in sleeve, using Jalie’s Helene as my working sample. See you then!
